St Margarets Dance Academy is a dance company with a difference. We dedicate ourselves to improving the fitness and health of young children through dance. We run our Kool Kids ‘n’ Kool Moves after-school dance clubs in more than 10 primary schools throughout Richmond, Hounslow, Wandsworth and Surrey.
Our focus is on ensuring the kids have fun and to keep their interest we focus on cool routines from the likes of Mama Mia, High School Musical, Hairspray, Girls Aloud, Michael Jackson and anything popular at the time which they can dance to now with friends, family or at school / community events such as RichDance Festival, Richmond Dance Gala, May Fairs and / or school musicals, hence our club motif being "Kool Kids ‘n’ Kool Moves "...
The Dance Club - Kool Kids ‘n’ Kool Moves
We offer something unique, a Jazz / Modern and Musical Theatre dance speciality incorporating exercise routines to help improve and maintain children´s fitness. Our aim is to help children to move well and look poised, graceful and confident; the exercises performed in our classes promote healthy physical development, better strength, suppleness and stamina.
Our classes are extremely visual and offer many opportunities for seeing improvement, success and creativity, and demonstrating these admirable achievements to others, all of this resulting in an improvement in confidence and self esteem. Children who attend find our dance classes are exciting, creative and fun, allowing them to explore the many different ways the body moves and learning to appreciate the most physical of art forms, whilst expressing their emotions through it.
We hope that this social, enjoyable and physical activity can have and influence on the children´s eventual choice of lifestyle, long after they leave school.
